Kings Row is the Dommerich community’s pocket neighborhood — tucked just off Horatio Avenue in northeast Maitland, immediately beside the Dommerich neighborhoods and sharing their schools, oak canopy, and long-tenured character, but with a layout and feel all its own. Street names like King Arthur Circle nod to the neighborhood’s name, and the street plan itself minimizes cut-through traffic, keeping things exceptionally quiet and private.
The neighborhood
The atmosphere is classic established Florida: massive mature oaks throwing dense shade over wide lawns and sidewalks. At the corner of East Adams Drive and South Thistle Lane sits Kings Row Park, the neighborhood’s own namesake green space — renovated in recent years, with swings, a slide, a small walking track, and an open grassy field. It functions as the neighborhood’s front porch.
The homes
Kings Row built out largely in the late 1960s and 1970s, and it leans away from production-line architecture: custom brick-accented facades, traditional single-story ranches, and the occasional split-plan or multi-level design. Lots are substantial and level — frequently a third of an acre or more — with room between neighbors, and it’s common to see sprawling screened pool enclosures, brick patios, and custom landscaping.
Kings Row operates with no formal HOA fees — homeowners keep exceptional freedom over their properties, and the neighborhood maintains its curb-appeal standard anyway. Homes here command a premium, frequently trading well north of $1 million; owners tend to stay for decades, inventory is notoriously tight, and a listing typically draws immediate interest.
